Thanks to everyone for your custom and for making The Hop what it is today.
Ian is off sunning himself this week so pizza opportunities are not good.
I’ll try and update if things change.
So to all you he-men out there who are convinced that t shirt, shorts and flip flops in sub-zero temperatures is a good look, I have some news.
It is now just about appropriate to do so.
Me? I’m too busy wearing multiple layers of merino wool and polartec fleece inside and wind and waterproof shell to give any heed to when such a dumb fad started.
Come and have a beer at The Hop tonight……………………………..
……………………………..and wear long trousers!
Well, here we are on Thursday 9th February and I feel it’s time for my new year’s resolution. At this stage all you Twitterites may want to go to the website because this may ramble on a bit. Continue reading
Because the pizzas we put on during the 6 nations went down so well, Ian the pizza man is Continue reading
We have some belting beers in the cellar from the likes of Arbor, Alechemy, Bristol Beer Factory and Tiny Rebel (to name but a few).
Why not come along tomorrow afternoon for the England game, have one of Ian’s luvverly stone baked pizzas and wash it all down with some of the heady brews on offer.
Could it get any better?
Apart from a great range of beers in the cellar from favourites such as Arbor, Raw, Brightside, Milk Street, Animal & XT we are pleased to announce that Ian the Pizza man will be in tomorrow with his luvverly hand made stonebaked pizzas. He does realise it’s not a 6 nations weekend but he enjoyed himself so much in the last two weeks that he just can’t stay away.
So come and have a beer & pizza frenzy.
It may have escaped your notice but the six nations rugby tournament starts today.
Apart from the usual fine selection of beers we have something new for you. Ian from Parmesan & Pomodoro will be at The Hop serving up delicious hand-made stone baked pizzas.
This is alongside our usual cheese & onion or ham rolls and some tasty scotch eggs made by my old mate Carol of Pleasantly Pickled who concocts all the lovely chutneys we serve up.
Now don’t say we don’t look after you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m sort of looking round for a barperson to do two (possibly 3 on occasion) evening shifts per week.
I think anyone who reads this will know the sort of person I’m after, i.e. not a dispenser of Carling and Jagerbombs.
A passing interest in the sort of thing we do would be nice.
Get in touch if you can think of someone.
