THOUSANDS OF CASK ALES FROM HUNDREDS OF BREWERIES SINCE 2012

In the centre of Old Town, Swindon, The Hop Inn is everything you’d expect in a proper pub. There are sixteen beers on tap, as well as a broad selection of wines, spirits, bar snacks, teas and coffees. Great, tasty food is served from our Hop Nosh kitchen. We’re a bit of a community hub, hosting comedy nights, meet-ups, quizzes, live music and art exhibitions – dog friendly too! You can hire our upstairs room for (almost!) any occasion.

Our sister pub, The Little Hop, is a couple of doors away.

Today’s Beer

8 cask ales and 8 keg beers on tap everyday

Think of us as an on-going beer festival. There’s an ever-changing selection of 12 guest brews – stouts, sours, bitters, IPAs, wheat beers, saisons and pale ales, and 4 permanent favourites – our self-named Hop Bitter by Ramsbury Brewery, Freedom’s lager, Mandarina, and Weihenstephaner Bavarian wheat beer. We also have around 30 niche, craft ales in cans (mostly with groovy can designs), and bottled European beers.

cider

We’re west-country folk so can’t forget the cider – 6 still guest ciders, 2 on draft, AND a good range of Lilley’s bottled fruit ciders too.

Basically, you have the choice of around 60 real ales, craft beers,  ciders and lagers every single day of your life. Most of our staff know their beer and breweries and are all too happy to guide you through the what’s on offer.

Always love going to The Hop, great atmosphere, outside heating, lovely selection of drinks and the food is phenomenal.

The Little Hop

Opened as a micro-pub in 2012 at No. 7 Devizes Road in Swindon, The Hop Inn was the first pub in Swindon to focus on craft beers. We moved two doors down in 2019 to 8 Devizes Road. Not a big move, but a bigger pub. No. 7 is now our (imaginatively named) sister pub, The Little Hop.
