WHAT’S ON AT THE HOP

Right in the centre of Old Town, we’re a bit of a community hub. The Hop supports local artists and artisan makers, giving them space to showcase their work; gets people thinking and laughing with pub quizzes and comedy nights, and we are a nice little venue for live music. Happy to hear from anyone with good ideas for events that bring people together.

SWINDON’S OLD TOWN COMEDY CLUB AT THE HOP

Upstairs at the Hop is home to Swindon’s Old Town Comedy Club hosted by comedian and MC Sam Michael. Every first Wednesday of every month there’s a mix of new material from a variety of comedians from novice comics to national names. This summer we’re hosting a series of Edinburgh Fringe Festival preview shows. Keep an eye on Swindon’s Old Town Comedy Club’s social media (Facebook and Instagram) for up-tp-date gig info and ticket links. Tickets are a mere fiver (+ booking fee) and available via Eventbrite only.

HOP PUB QUIZ

The second Wednesday of the month is pub quiz night. Starting at 7.30pm, our general knowledge quiz, hosted by our ‘enigmatic’ quizmasters is £3 per person (maximum 6 people per team). We donate half the entry fees to a local charity and give the other half to the winners along with a voucher for top Hop Nosh Sunday lunch for two people.

ART EXHIBITIONS

We’re the largest exhibition space in Old Town and maintain a high standard of work by professional and semi-professional artists. We also exhibit the work of therapeutic community groups and students starting out in the creative industries. Keep updated on the exhibitions on our social media.

If you’d like to exhibit at The Hop Inn, please read our info for artists and send a couple of photos of your work to [email protected]
